Two injured in Fayetteville crash

A man and woman from Raeford were injured Tuesday morning in a car crash on Stoney Point Road.

A man and woman from Raeford were injured Tuesday morning in a car crash on Stoney Point Road in Fayetteville.

Police said the driver, Earnest Peterkin, 32, crossed the center line, overcorrected and went off the road to the right, into a patch of trees.

He and his passenger, Jocelyn Swindell, 27, were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Both were expected to survive their injuries.

Police said Peterkin was driving without a license.
