Two injured in early-morning shooting in Sampson Co.

Sampson County sheriff's detectives are investigating the shootings of two men at a party in Clinton early Sunday morning.

CLINTON, N.C. — Sampson County sheriff's detectives are investigating the shootings of two men at a party in Clinton early Sunday morning.

Deputies were called to 76 Kean Lane around 4:14 a.m., where they found Rakeem Williams, 19, and Corey Antoine Kirkland, 29, injured.

Neither man was able to give investigators a description of who might have shot them.

They were taken to Sampson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions weren't available Sunday night.

Authorities did not provide any additional information about the crime.
