RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested two people Monday in connection with sex crimes against a child under the age of 13.

Jacqueline Michelle Cannady, 22, was jailed under a $20,000 secured bond on two counts of indecent liberties with a minor.

Shearin was charged with one count of indecent liberties with a minor and three counts of first-degree sex offense with a child. He was jailed under a $750,000 bond.

Authorities say the alleged crimes happened in April and that they knew the child. A police spokeswoman said the two were not in a position of authority over the child.
