Spring Hope, N.C. — Two firefighters were injured while battling a house fire on Old U.S. Highway 64 near Worth Road in Spring Hope on Saturday, according to the fire department.
One firefighter was taken to WakeMed with a back injury. The other firefighter was taken to Nash General Hospital, also with a back injuries.
No one else was hurt in the three-story house fire, which started at about 10:50 a.m. Numerous firefighters from Nash and Franklin counties responded and spent more than 3 hours working to get the blaze under control.
Fire officials said the house is probably a total loss. No other information was released.
