FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested two students at Ramsey Street High School after a fight Friday, spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said.

Emmanuel Gallardo, 16, of 1616 Barber Ave., and Jhaves Shaque Gilliam, 17, of 127 Buckingham Ave., were charged with resistance, delay and obstruction of an arrest. Both were released to their parents.

Police shot Gallardo with a Taser to break up the fight after he failed to respond to two verbal warnings, Tanna said.

Gallardo's father told WRAL that his son required surgery to remove probes from the Taser that became lodged in his back.
