Escapees Frankie Noles (left) and Jacob Pilkington

— Two inmates serving time for breaking and entering escaped Sunday night from Morrison Correctional Institution in Richmond County, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

A DPS spokesman said Jacob Pilkington and Frankie Noles were thought to have gone over the fence outside a minimum security unit at the Hoffman facility at about 10 p.m.

Both men had projected release dates in 2015.

Pilkington, 20, has ties to Rowan County, and Noles, 22, has ties to McDowell County, DPS said.

Anyone with information about either man is asked to call local law enforcement or the prison at 910-281-3161

hmmmmm, you're in a MINIMUM security facility and scheduled to get out within the next year, so you decide to escape, which will bring MORE time AND land your dumb rear inside a medium or higher....yea, what the other poster said....

Projected release date will go far beyond 2015 now. Hope they are caught soon.
