Two children hurt in bicycle vs. car crash in Raleigh

Two 12-year-olds were hurt Saturday after police said they rode their bicycle into the path of a car on Pine Knoll Drive in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two 12-year-olds were hurt Saturday after police said they rode their bicycle into the path of a car on Pine Knoll Drive in Raleigh.

The accident happened about 6:15 p.m. near the intersection with Manhasset Lane. Raleigh police said the children – Ariana Mack and Cameron Clarkson-Blake – were both on the same bicycle.

Both the boy and girl were taken to WakeMed, but Clarkson-Blake's injuries were the more serious of the two. Their exact conditions were not released.

Police said the driver was not at fault and was not charged.
