ROXBORO, N.C. — Police have charged two people in the Monday shooting of a 14-year-old girl at a ball field owned by Person County.
Tyrie Shaundell Stewart, 16, of 130 Park St., Apt. B in Roxboro, was charged with aggravated assault and possessing a weapon. Jerel Anthony Hinch, 17, of 126 Honeysuckle Lane in Roxboro, was charged with accessory after the fact of an aggravated assault.
Both were being held Friday in the Person County Jail.
Ashley Ogeary was shot at Longhurst Ball Park, at 425 Long Ave., and was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham with non-life-threatening injuries.
