Rocky Mount, N.C. — Police said Monday that they have arrested two people in connection with the death of a Nashville man found last week in a motel room in Rocky Mount.
William Richard Gingras, 34, and Natasha Maria North, 21, each face charges of first-degree murder and common law robbery in the death of Larry Earl Armstrong, 40.
Police were called to the Sunshine Inn, at 1621 N. Wesleyan Blvd., around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, where they found Armstrong unresponsive.
Authorities have not offered a cause of death or said if robbery was a motive.
Gingras and North, police said, are homeless. They are originally from Massachusetts but were traveling through Rocky Mount and are believed to have only been in the area since last weekend.
Both were in the Nash County jail Monday and were being held without bond.
