Two charged in Raleigh convenience store robberies

Two people have been charged in connection with five Raleigh convenience store robberies over the last few weeks.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people have been charged in connection with five Raleigh convenience store robberies over the last few weeks.

Harold Leroy Williams, 23, and Gregory Earl Bellamy, 31, were arrested during a traffic stop Monday on New Bern Avenue after someone spotted the car they were in as one matching the vehicle involved in two robberies earlier in the day.

Both men face charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Williams and Bellamy are accused in robberies on Pleasant Valley Road on Nov. 27, New Bern Avenue on Nov. 29, Glenwood Avenue on Dec. 4, and Louisburg and East Millbrook roads on Monday.
