EFLAND, N.C. — A third suspect was charged Tuesday in a January shooting death outside the Efland-Cheeks Community Center, authorities said Tuesday.

Authorities said Barry Holt was brought to the Orange County Detention Center Tuesday on a writ from the Durham County Detention Facility and was served with an arrest warrant charging him with murder.

Holt was being held without bond and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.

Two men were previously arrested in connection with the death of Tevin Deshawn Kendrick, 22, who was found dead in the community center parking lot on Jan. 18, lying near a car with its trunk open.

Jermauciyae Abram was charged Friday with murder in the case, and Savian Jacob Turrentine was charged as an accessory after the fact of a felony. Both men were being held in the Orange County jail.

Investigators said the shooting wasn't random, and more arrests are expected.
