Aberdeen police identify shooting victim

Aberdeen police have identified the victim who died in a shooting Friday night at the Country Hearth Inn & Suites.

ABERDEEN, N.C. — Aberdeen police have identified the victim who died in a shooting Friday night at the Country Hearth Inn & Suites.

According to the Aberdeen Times, officers responding to the hotel about 10 p.m. discovered Mariel Bibiano, 26, with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Investigators have charged Shelby Mitchell White, 33, of Red Springs, with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting. Amanda Gayle Gaboury, 41, of Raeford, was charged with being an accessory after the fact.

White was in the Moore County jail early Saturday under no bond, and Gaboury was being held on a $50,000 secured bond.
