Two Bragg soldiers die in Afghanistan

Two Fort Bragg soldiers died Thursday in Afghanistan's Kandahar province, the military has announced.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Two Fort Bragg soldiers died Thursday in Afghanistan's Kandahar province, the military has announced.

Pfc. Johnathon F. Davis, 20, of Griffin, Ga., was killed by enemy small-arms fire. He served with the 4th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.

Spc. David W. Taylor, 20, of Dixon, Ky., died after an accident at an ammunition supply point, officers said. The military is investigating the incident.

Taylor was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
