Two arrested, one sought in Rocky Mount assault

Two men were in the Nash County Jail Friday night and a third was being sought for his role in an attack on fourth man early Friday morning.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Two men were in the Nash County Jail Friday night and a third was being sought for his role in an attack on fourth man early Friday morning.
Police responded to West Ridge and Peachtree streets at about 1:30 a.m. to find Michael Antonio Deloach Jr., 20, had been assaulted with a brick.

Deloach Jr. was taken to Nash General Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects attempted to get away on bikes. Officers pursued them from West Ridge Street to South Grace Street where two of them were apprehended.

A third suspect, Kevin Felix Romain, 16, remains at large. Warrants have been issued for his arrest on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Anyone with information about Romain is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.

Octavious Tyshawn Cooper, 16, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and resisting a public officer. He was being held on secured bond of $40,000.

Trayvon Markel Powell Moody, 17, was charged with resisting a public officer. Moody is on the Twin Counties' Top Ten Most Wanted list for assault by pointing a gun, communicating threats and violation of a court order. Moody was issued a secured bond of $61,200.
