Cameron, N.C. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured two people at a Harnett County shopping center Monday night.
Damien Sherrod Street, 20, of 4 Sierra Lane, Sanford, and Tiyon Nathan Turner, 16, each face one count of robbery and discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious injury, after Harnett County authorities say they opened fire into a vehicle on N.C. Highway 24/87 near Plantation Drive in Cameron.
Gregory Ricardo Fargas, 20, and Tonielle Dominic Foushee, 24, were sitting in the car outside a Bojangles' restaurant and drove to a nearby Little Caesars pizza store for help.
The pair were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Street, who also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana, was arrested a short time later and jailed at the Harnett County Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond.
Turner surrendered to authorities in Cumberland County Tuesday morning.
Authorities said Fargas told deputies that he was supposed to sell drugs to the men but changed his mind before they began shooting.
Investigators are still searching for two other people who were seen leaving the area with Street and Turner.
