— Two Sanford men are accused of looting during the aftermath of the tornadoes Saturday.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested Roy Lee Stone, 61, of 2791 Poplar Springs Church Road, and Larry Gary Knight Sr., 54, of 2806 Lemon Springs Road, after they were spotted inside the wreckage of a home on Poplar Springs Church Road.

The homeowner said Stone and Knight took jewelry valued at about $15,000. Both men were being held on $30,000 bond.

This is why everywhere that was damaged had to be blocked off by police....preventing people from even trying to help. It's sad these people lost everything and these men wanted to take more from them. 50 years in jail...would barely be justice.

50 years sounds good for them.

OMG are you serious???? Put their tails to work on debris clean up (free labor)- especially of the house they felt then needed to loot. Watch out fellas' karma is a booger.

Give them both a couple of years of community service. I think Sanford and Lee County would probably have a few trees to pick up.

15yrs of hard labor would be a good start for these two.
