RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested two men Friday and charged them with kidnapping and robbery.

Angel Antonio Amador and Juan Antonio Gual, both 28, were held in the Wake County jail.

According to police, the two men abducted a pizza deliveryman Thursday at about 9:30 p.m. along Bertram Drive. They reportedly forced Matthew Scott Novak, 33, into the trunk of his own car at gunpoint.

Novak called 911 after 1:20 a.m. He told police that the suspects made several stops during the course of his confinement, but exited the car after parking along Capital Boulevard. He then pushed his way from the trunk into the passenger compartment and drove away.

A second man reported a similar abduction that police believe is related. Omar Sellers, 35, told police that two men approched him along Capital Boulevard and forced him into his car. Sellers said the suspects took him to an ATM, then drove away in his vehicle.

Based on Sellers' description, officers spotted his vehicle and followed it. When two men stopped the car and ran, they were apprehended.
