RALEIGH, N.C. — Are you getting a new TV for the Super Bowl?

According to the National Retail Federation, 7.5 million households will buy one for the big event, but getting the absolute best picture from it may involve a quick TV tune-up.

Whether you have a brand new TV or one that’s a few years old, Consumer Reports recommends you consider some adjustments.

All TVs now come with a menu of picture modes with names such as "vivid," "natural," "sports," or "cinema."

You would THINK the common-sense choice for the Super Bowl would be to pick "sports mode." Consumer Reports says DON’T!! Their TV experts say also stay away from "vivid" and "dynamic" modes. To get the best picture with the most balanced settings, they say pick a mode with a name such as "natural," "cinema," and "pro."

Now, what about the food??
