Tuesday wrap: Medicaid, group homes bills off to McCrory

Raleigh, N.C. — The General Assembly passes legislation blocking a Medicaid expansion, while the Senate gives tentative approval to reducing regulations for natural gas drilling and the House passes a bill to help group homes and Alzheimer's care units deal with funding cuts.

Meanwhile, a House committee approved one bill that would bar youths under age 18 from tanning salons and another that would require hospitals to perform a heart-screening test on newborns. A separate House committee passed legislation that would allow school districts to use lottery money for classroom technology.

WRONG, rushbot and Mr. Colbert. The commandment to help the poor was an INDIVIDUAL, NOT a GOVERNMENTAL, responsibility. The "Good Samaritan" used HIS OWN resources. Remember, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's".

I think the following perfectly sums it up: "“If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it.” .. ..Mr Colbert.
