Trump makes controversial comment on Clinton, 2nd Amendment

— A week after two appearances in North Carolina, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will return to the state on Thursday.

Trump is scheduled to hold an 8 p.m. rally at the Charlotte Convention Center after attending a private fundraiser in the Queen City.

Last Tuesday, Trump had rallies in Wilmington and Fayetteville. The Wilmington appearance was marked by controversy over a comment about "Second Amendment people" ensuring his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, couldn't appoint liberal justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.
