Truck Totaled by Train in Garner
A driver who attempted to take on a train on Friday afternoon lost, with the truck paying the price.

GARNER, N.C. — A driver who attempted to take on a train in Garner Friday lost, with the truck paying the price.
The accident occurred at a crossing at the intersection of Yadkin and Garner roads early in the afternoon.
The driver of the truck apparently tried to beat the train over a crossing, but the truck got stuck when the safety gate came down, Garner police said.
The driver jumped out of the truck before the train hit and was not injured, officers said. The truck, however, was totaled.
