Truck Loses Load on I-95 in Johnston County

— Authorities said a truck carrying scaffolding lost its load on Interstate 95 at the Interstate 40 West exit ramp Thursday morning in Johnston County.

No one was hurt, authorities said.

Traffic was delayed briefly as crews worked to remove the scaffolding from the roadway.

    From the looks of some of those lumber hauling trucks and the way the loads are places on truck I'm surprised more don't topple off. If I get behind one of those things I pull off road and let someone else ride behind them. Some loads you can see are loaded plain crooked.

    As a motorcycle rider, this trend scares me.

    Secure your loads, damnit (how does one say that in spanish?)! It could save lives. Motorcyclist are especially at risk but others have died in cars because of debris falling from trucks.
