— Cary police investigated a wreck on Southeast Maynard Road early Friday.

Investigators say a pickup truck driver was speeding, ran off the road and clipped a utility pole. The truck hit a mailbox and then a tree.

The two people in the truck were taken to WakeMed for treatment. Their names and conditions were not released.

Maynard Road was blocked at Tanglewood for a few hours while crews cleared the scene.

Maybe the speed limits should be reduced to say 25 or even 15 mph. How many children must die before the police take action?
