Morrisville, N.C. — A 26-year-old Raleigh man died early Wednesday after he lost control of his box truck on Interstate 540 West and crashed into the westbound lanes of Glenwood Avenue (U.S. Highway 70), Raleigh police said.
Authorities responding to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. closed the ramp from I-540 to Glenwood Avenue and all outbound lanes of traffic on Glenwood Avenue for about two hours.
Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said Jonathan Arrington was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. It wasn't clear why he lost control of the truck.
No other details were immediately available.
