Troops cheer teams together at Fort Bragg
Troops recently returned to Fort Bragg celebrated together Sunday the ability to watch a Super Bowl on home soil.
Posted — UpdatedJoshua Marron's unit is stationed in Germany, but he is at Fort Bragg on temporary assignment.
"I've been stationed overseas the past nine years, between combat tours, Korea and Germany, so this is the first time I've seen it in the states since 2000," he said.
For his colleague Ronald Bostic, the evening game was a treat. "It's actually quite nice that we get to see it in real time instead of a six-hour delay," he said.
The Fort Bragg Super Bowl party is all for troops and their families, and Sports USA rolls out the Red Carpet complete with free food and lots of giveaways.
Soldiers in attendance said the raucous party wen a long way to reminding them of the support they have at home. "I think when you come back, you see that people really care about you," said Ikram Sales.
