— Three tractor trailers were involved in a wreck Monday just after 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 85 in Vance County. The northbound lanes of the highway were closed at milemarker 218, U.S. Highway 1, near Henderson.

A spokesman for the state Highway Patrol said that there were injuries, but he did not have information about how many people were hurt or the severity of those injuries.

The Department of Transportation expected to detour traffic for about 45 minutes.

Your statement indicates that the tractor trailer drivers are at fault in this accident. Maybe they are, but maybe they are not. We do not know the reason for the accident--blown tire, deer or animal running across the Interstate, debris in the road, etc etc. Lets wait and see before we cast blame. BTW, I am pretty sure, tractor trailer drivers are much better than the "rest of us" when it comes to driving a tractor trailer.

It "could be" that niether of the three were at fault. Could have been a blown tire, or maybe a car driver, or a number of other reasons. True it could have been one of the truckers' fault but it sure is ignorant of you to blast your Simpleton sarcasm knowing no more than you know

Yeah I dislike 85, I use it, but I always wonder if something like this is going to happen. Two lanes, mostly 70 speed limit which causes some people to figure they can just go with 80. Lots of things could have caused this wreck, more detail is needed.

How could this be. The tractor trailer drivers are SO much better drivers than the rest of us.

Actually probably an accident caused by an inconsiderate 4-wheeler who doesn't realize these big rigs don't handle like their passenger vehicles.

    Amen to that

Still, prayers for the injured, regardless the circumstances.
