Trio arrested in stolen vehicle after Durham County car chase

Three men were arrested Saturday morning after leading Durham sheriff's deputies on a car chase in a stolen vehicle, officials said.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Three men were arrested Saturday morning after leading Durham sheriff's deputies on a car chase in a stolen vehicle, officials said.

Durham County officials said deputies responded around 9 a.m. to the report of a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood near Hardscrabble Drive. When they arrived, deputies found that the vehicle was linked to a carjacking in the City of Durham.

As the deputy began to approach, the suspects drove off, officials said. Authorities chased the suspect vehicle and eventually arrested the trio on Guess Road.

The men were charged in connection with the chase as well as a breaking and entering in Durham on Saturday morning after stolen goods were found in the vehicle, police said.

Malcolm Lee Davis, 22, was charged with felony breaking and entering, possessing of stolen property possession of a stolen motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Tori Demarco Bumpers, 21, was charged with felony breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and carrying a concealed handgun without a permit.

Anthony Joseph Brown-Cameron, 20, who was driving the stolen vehicle, was charged with felony eluding, felony breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, possession of a schedule VI drug, and two counts of carrying a concealed handgun.
