Trio accused of selling stolen goods online
Cumberland County authorities said Wednesday that they have charged three men with breaking into vehicles, stealing property and posting the stolen goods for sale on the Craigslist website.

Thomas Rains found his stolen GPS unit for sale online and agreed to meet the seller in the parking lot of a Fayetteville department store, police said. After buying back his GPS, he contacted deputies, who arrested three men.
Daniel Matthew Kempf, 26, of 5866 Rockfish Road in Hope Mills, Michael David Raymond, 26, of 141 Helens Lane in Lumber Bridge, and Mitchell Ray Packer, 46, of 814 Veda St. in Fayetteville, were charged with possession of stolen property and other offenses.
Investigators said thousands of dollars worth of electronics, cell phones, CDs, umbrellas, jewelry and tools were stolen in the crime spree, which also includes cases in Hoke County.
Victims have been notified of the arrests and are in the process of getting their property returned to them, police said.
