The opening of the new indoor playground at Triangle Town Center in Raleigh has been postponed a few weeks.

The new opening, originally set for Aug. 16, is now scheduled for Sept. 6. There's apparently been a delay in getting materials for the construction.

The playground closed July 31 for a big upgrade. The play area's theme will be based on North Carolina's geography from the beaches to the mountains. A rendering shows everything from a beaver and dolphin to climb on to a pretend beach area and a pretend waterfall to a car and boat.

Everything will be new from the carpet to the equipment. It will be in the same location as the original playground.

In other indoor mall playground news: the new 2,000-square-foot playground at Cary Towne Center is still scheduled for a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 23.
