Posted January 22, 2014

The CK Burger: glazed tomato jam, bacon-onion marmalade, cheddar cheese and green peppercorn mayonnaise.

Triangle Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to try out some nice restaurants in the area for a reasonable price. Participating restaurants are offering three course lunch menus for $15.

Why not take a long lunch break this week and try some of these restaurants?

Cameron Bar & Grill, Raleigh. This American restaurant in the heart of Cameron Village delivers classics with a twist. Delicious options include Mac & Cheese Bites with BBQ-bacon jam, a Low Country Reuben on rye and Sweet Potato and Black Bean Empanadas. (The Out & About team had a yummy TRW lunch here!)

City Kitchen, Chapel Hill. For a simple, yummy meal, try City Kitchen. TRW choices include the CK burger with cheddar, pickled okra and horseradish aioli, a Blackened Chicken Cobb Salad and Apple Crisp.

Coquette, Raleigh. Enjoy French cuisine in North Hills. With cold weather on the way, try the White Bean and Bacon Soup, a Grilled Salmon Salad and Creme Brulee for dessert.

Fairview Dining Room, Durham. This exquisite restaurant might be located in a golf club, but members of the public are welcome – especially for TRW. They have a good variety of salads, sandwiches and hearty winter entrees to choose from, including a Shrimp, Corn and Bacon Chowder, a Blackened Sirloin Wedge Salad and Quiche du Jour.

Flights, Raleigh. This North Hills restaurant offers an eclectic menu with choices for a variety of tastes. Try the Frisee Salad with blood oranges, the Asian BBQ Pork Sandwich with spicy chow chow or Blueberry Crepes with lavender whipped cream for dessert.

Parizade, Durham. A Mediterranean restaurant with comforting and yummy choices. Options include Avgolemono Soup, a Feta Lamb Burger and a Black Velvet Praline Torte.

Piazza Italia, Durham. Enjoy an Italian lunch in historic Brightleaf Square. Choices include favorites like Lasagna al Forno and house specialties such as Eggplant "Melanzane" Parmigiana.

Many other restaurants are participating in TRW for lunch and dinner. Browse through the restaurants and view menus here.
