A look at Trophy Brewing Company in Raleigh.

— The holiday weekend is upon us and if you are looking to grab a nice meal in the Triangle, we have a few new places for you to check out!

SushiOne has opened in Lafayette Village in north Raleigh. This sushi and Asian fusion restaurant and bar also serves Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.

Staying in Lafayette Village, I noticed that Pampas at the Village is open. This is the sister restaurant of Oakwood Cafe located off of East Edenton Street. Pampas serves Argentinean steaks and entrees as well as Cuban staples.

Characters Quarters, along U.S. Highway 70 in Garner, is re-launching Friday night with an entirely new concept and menu thanks to the folks at Spike TV's "Bar Rescue."

Deep River Brewing in Clayton will hold its grand opening party on April 6. This is Johnston County's first brewery. Tickets are $50 and include entry to the party and a commemorative glass, exclusive 22 oz. bottle of Johnston County's first legal batch of beer, samples of all beers on draft, cask conditioned ale made just for the party, first dibs on additional bottles of their first batch, tours of the facility, food, live music and good times. Tickets are limited.

The Little Caesars Pizza, located in the spot where Solomon's used to be along Capital Boulevard in north Raleigh, will open on April 10, according to a sign on the building.

Trophy Brewing Company, a nano brewery on West Morgan Street in Raleigh, plans to open its patio and start serving pizza in May, head brewer Les Stewart told us this week.

A new PDQ is opening at 11690 Northpark Drive in Wake Forest in early May, according to their Facebook page. They will be across from the Carolina Ale House. PDQ is a fast-casual place that serves tasty chicken and milkshakes! This is the second PDQ in the area. The other one is on Falls of Neuse Road near Winston's Grille.

Chubby's Tacos is closing its Durham location on Miami Boulevard on Friday. The other locations in Raleigh and Durham are still open!
