A look at the World of Beer grand opening in North Hills on Jan. 13, 2012.

Twisted Fork unveiled its new concept and menu this week. New menu items include overnight brisket, beer can chicken and Soccer Mom's Masterpiece Burger with peanut butter, house-made strawberry jam and double bacon. They are also offering a downloadable coupon good until Nov. 7. 

The Historic Oakwood area has a new restaurant and grocery store. The Quality Grocery is a neighborhood country store. It is from the guys behind the Rockford restaurant. 

Peace William Peace University has officially closed on its $20 million purchase of the neighboring Seaboard Station retail center.

Cary has a new pizzeria! Patrick Jane's Gourmet Pizza Bar has opened next to Trader Joe's in the Shops at Kildaire. They offer farm-fresh cuisine and even gluten free options. The menu includes pizza and small plates and also a selection of beer and wine.

Staying in Cary: The World of Beer is planning to open its second Triangle location on Dec. 16 in the Arboretum at Weston Shopping Center at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Weston Parkway, according to the Triangle Business Journal. This chain is known for having hundreds of bottled beer and about 50 beers on tap. World of Beer opened its North Hills location in 2011. WOB locations don't serve food, but the North Hills one allows you to get food ordered in from nearby restaurants. 

A new brewery to report. Hosanna Brewing Company has held a soft opening in Fuquay-Varina this week. It is located off of North Main Street, only a few minutes from downtown. 

And this isn't food related but, Sorry State Records is opening its first brick-and-mortar location. They officially open for business on Saturday at noon off of West Morgan Street.

Another non-food item for you. Outdoor retail chain Cabela has selected Garner for its first North Carolina location. It will be located near the intersection of Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 70. The store is expected to open in 2015.
