Triangle Restaurant News (Nov. 8, 2013)

Posted November 8, 2013

Dave and Buster's opens Nov. 6, 2013, at the Cary Towne Center.

Dave and Buster's, a popular restaurant and gaming chain, opened this week at the Cary Towne Center. If you have never been to a Dave and Buster's before, we definitely recommend checking it out. The menu is typical bar and grill fare and they have a full bar. The Out and About crew checked it out earlier this week and we didn't want to leave!

Also opening this week, Paddy O'Beers on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. This bottle shop and tasting room officially opens its doors today (Friday) at noon. They will be open daily starting at noon. A grand opening celebration is planned for Nov. 22.

Napper Tandy's has moved from West Street in downtown Raleigh to Glenwood Avenue. The Irish Pub made the announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday. They are now open in the old location of Murphy's Law across from Solas.

Tex-Mex chain Chuy's will open Nov. 19 in the North Hills shopping area in Raleigh. We will be checking it out during a special media preview, so stay tuned for more!

The Triangle Business Journal is reporting that the Station at Person Street is coming along. No official opening date yet for this bar and grill, but TBJ says it could be weeks.

TBJ is also reporting that the fast casual chain Smashburger will be opening its first Triangle location in Durham. They have reportedly signed a lease in the Pavilion East at Lakeview complex on Erwin Road.

Also in Durham, a new coffee shop is on the way. The Triangle Explorer tipped us off about Caffe Bellezza, a mobile coffee bar that will serve Italian-style coffee.

The Bali-Hai location off of Wake Forest Road in Raleigh was demolished this week. The restaurant was damaged in a fire in September. Owners plan to rebuild and raise the parking lot up.

Garland in downtown Raleigh has closed its walk-up window, in advance of the dining room opening (hopefully) soon!
