RALEIGH, N.C. — Just got this piece of news this morning: The Giorgios Hospitality Group will be bringing a farm-to-table concept to Wake Forest. Farm Table will take the place of Girasole Trattoria at 960 Gateway Commons Circle and is expected to open later this month. Menu items will range from $6 to $22 and include appetizers, small plates, summer salads and entrees.

Now, we have some beer news.

Crafty Beer Shop opened its location at Lafayette Village in north Raleigh this week. They also have a location in Raleigh's Five Points area.
Apex's Brueprint Brewing Company will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. with live music, food trucks and, of course, their beer!
The Wander Box, a mobile, solar powered beer garden, has set up shop in front of the Contemporary Art Museum in downtown Raleigh's Warehouse District. They will be open from 4-11 p.m. weekdays and noon-11 p.m. Saturday and Sundays. They will remain there through June 15 before "wandering" elsewhere.
We are learning more about Clouds Brewery, which will be opening in the old Napper Tandy's location in downtown Raleigh in August. Patrons will be able to pay when they enter and receive a bracelet allowing them to pour their own beer from 40 different taps, Triangle Business Journal reports. Purchase an online membership to access online ordering and more. The brewpub will feature American fare with a German twist and you can order it from a tablet. Clouds Brewing will make mostly German beer at their Morrisville production location. Owners hope to open a second brewpub in Durham next year.
That was a lot of beer news!  Now, on to cheese. Six Forks Cheese, a gourmet shop featuring fromage from around the world and local cheese purveyors, is opening in north Raleigh's Lafayette Village. It will be the area's first cheese shop. They are currently running a Kickstarter and are more than halfway toward their $5,000 goal.
WRAL's Ken Smith will love this news! Sonic Drive-in has announced plans to open five new franchises over the next five years, TBJ reports. No word on where those locations will be. They already have 10 locations in the Triangle.
Some sweet news: Quail Corners Creamery has opened off of Falls of Neuse Road in the Quail Corners Shopping Center in Raleigh. They are serving up hand-churned ice cream every day 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Kansas-based fast casual restaurant Freddy's Frozen Custards and Steakburgers is planning locations in Durham and Cary, TBJ reports. The Durham location is expected this fall.
