Raleigh, N.C. — The Pop-Up Ice Cream Parlour has opened its Oakwood location. The shop opened on Thursday and will operate Thursday through Sunday hours. In addition, the location in downtown Raleigh next to Gravy will continue to operate through the summer until their lease is up.
Corbett's Burgers and Soda Bar officially opened their doors on Thursday. The Cary restaurant serves burgers, milkshakes and more than 200 varieties of bottles sodas.
Goodybox Cupcakes is opening today at 11 a.m.! The bakery, located on Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville, specializes in scratch-made cupcakes and custom designed cakes.
Crank Arm Brewing is preparing to open its doors on Monday, according to their website. The party starts at 4 p.m.
More beer info to report. We are hearing a lot lately about Union Square Brewery. This micro-brewery is expected to be located in downtown Raleigh. No info on the opening date yet or the exact location yet.
Food truck Will and Pop's started rolling again this week. They will hold their grand re-opening event on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at Fullsteam. They serve burgers, grilled cheese, hot dogs and more.
The Roxy in Durham is no more. According to the club's Facebook page, they are closed for four to six weeks and plan to re-open as the Triangle Pint and Plate. The venture is a partnership with the people from Triangle Brewing Company.
Another piece of news in Durham to report. A new Southern buffet-style restaurant is coming to 118 Parish St. 118 Soul will serve collard greens, fried chicken, yams and more! No word on when they will open.
Our friend Triangle Food Guy is reporting that former Hot Dogs and Brew location on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill has closed and plans to reopen as the Hummus Cafe. No timetable for the reopening yet.
TFG is also reporting that the Bavarian Brathaus on Chapel Hill Boulevard in Durham has closed.
