— Lots of new coffee shops and a new bottle shop to report on this week.

North Street Beer Station, a craft beer and bottle shop, is coming to Glenwood South in Raleigh. A sign went up this week at their location next to Clockwork. Not much else is known.

More Glenwood South news: New Raleigh is reporting that Zaky Mediterranean Restaurant is planning to expand next door into the Tutti Fruitti space. This change also includes adding salad bar and yogurt to their menu.

Our friend John Huisman, aka the Triangle Explorer, actually pointed this out: Four coffee shops have opened in the area in the past week!

First up, Saxby's Coffee opened in North Hills in Raleigh on Saturday. This coffee shop also sells smoothies, frozen yogurt and pastries. The first 10 people in line got free coffee for a year there.

Also now open, Cafe de los Muertos inside the Hue building on West Hargett Street in Raleigh, Copa Vida Coffee on N.C. Highway 54 in Durham and Grounds on West Chatham Street in downtown Cary.

Triangle Raw Foods has announced an opening date for their brick-and-mortar location - Cafe LOVE. They are planning to open Feb. 14, so make your reservations for Valentine's Day now.

Toppers Pizza opened on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill this past weekend. Congrats to the first 50 customers who earned free food for a year!

The News and Observer is reporting that the sandwich chain Groucho's Deli will be opening near N.C. State in March. The location will be at 10 Home St. behind Jasmin Mediterranean Bistro. According to Groucho's website, they are also planning to open stores in Hickory, Huntersville and Stateville.

Triangle Food Guy is reporting that Chuy's is opening a second Triangle location. This one will be in Cary in the Parkside Town Commons area near the intersection of NC Highway 55 and Interstate 540.

Another tidbit from TFG: Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in Cary will change next week into the locally owned restaurant Lugano Ristorante. The two managing partners have bought the restaurant from the chain and will be separating it.

In Carrboro, Hickory Tavern sports bar has opened on Main Street in the ground level of the Hampton Inn and Suites. Starting Saturday, their hours will be every day 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

A few closings to report: The Loop Pizza and Grill has reportedly closed its Cary location, according to Triangle Food Guy. Their Chapel Hill and Durham locations remain open.

Zydeco in downtown Raleigh's City Market has also closed, according to New Raleigh.

This one isn't restaurant related but it is about shopping. The Shops of Baileywick is planning to move to a new location. Vendors will be out by the end of the month and the shop will officially close at the end of February. No word on where they are moving to.
