RALEIGH, N.C. — The latest restaurant news is here!
It is hot out there, so beat the heat with a New Orleans-style snoball at one of our favorite spots - Pelican's! They just opened a new location in the Starmount Shopping Center off of Capital Boulevard in north Raleigh.
There is also another new food truck on our radar. I discovered Iced Cupcakes at the Knightdale Farmers Market food truck rodeo last week. They are there every other week, so they should be back on Aug. 8. Check out their scratch made cupcakes - especially the sweet tea one! SOOO good! They also offer free delivery in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
Clyde Cooper's Barbecue is relocating to 313 S. Wilmington St., according to the Triangle Business Journal. This downtown Raleigh staple has been located at 109 E. Davie St. since 1938. Owners are planning to make the new space as much of an exact replica as they can. Construction is set to begin next month and the move will take place late this year.
Another tip from the Triangle Business Journal: Bombshell Beer Company is planning to open in Holly Springs in September. This all-female-owned microbrewery will be in the Omni business park. The venue will have a brewery and tasting room.
Our friend Triangle Food Guy is reporting that Ba-Da Wings' location in Carrboro is closed. Their Raleigh location on Avent Ferry Road remains open.
