Jibarra announces new concept and Jimmy V's Osteria opens.

RALEIGH, N.C. — First up, Jimmy V's Osteria and Bar at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Raleigh has opened. They are also participating in Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week which runs through Sunday. The Out and About crew dined there last week during their soft opening and I can tell you it was fantastic. Definitely try their pizzas and save room for dessert! We are hoping to have a review posted next week so stay tuned!
Mexican restaurant Jibarra is closing on Sunday. In a message on the restaurant's Facebook page, owners say they have been working on a new concept that they had hoped to find a home for. After seven years of operation, they have decided to open the new concept in the Jibarra space. The new restaurant, Jose and Sons, will celebrate the family's Mexican-Southern heritage. It is expected to open next month.
Yellow Dog Bread Company, located on East Franklin Street in Raleigh, holding its grand opening party on Sept. 6 from 6-9 p.m. They will have samples of their bread, coffee and more. 
Cary is getting a new coffee shop! Our friend John Huisman (aka the Triangle Explorer) tipped us off about Grounds, which will be located inside Gather, a creative co-working and studio space. They are holding a grand opening celebration on Aug. 30.
The Village Deli and Grill's fourth location has opened in Raleigh. It is in the former home of Barking Cow in the Lake Boone shopping center.
Porter's Tavern on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh has closed. According to New Raleigh, an Irish pub concept is expected to open in the space.
Cinebistro, a new luxury movie theater, is expected to open next year in the Waverly Place shopping center in Cary, according to the Triangle Business Journal. This will be the first North Carolina location for this Birmingham-based chain. At Cinebistro, you can view first-run movies while sitting in high-back leather rocking chairs and dining on much more than just popcorn and candy. They also offer wine and cocktails. Construction is set to begin in this fall.
A new Raleigh nightclub to report on. Flash House is located next to The Black Flower along Peace Street. They just had a family and friends night. I'm trying to get more info so stay tuned!
Pop-up Ice cream shop's lease has been extended through Oct. 31. Their lease on the space next to Gravy was set to expire at the end of this month. They are also running a Kickstarter  for a permanent downtown Raleigh location.
Cary's historic Jones House is going to be the new home for a bakery, coffee bar and restaurant, according to reports from Triangle Food Guy and The Cary News. It will be called The Jones House. The venture is a joint effort between the Sweet T Cakery and Muddy Dog Roasting Company and could be open by the end of the year. Look for folks handing out samples and promoting the new restaurant at this Saturday's Lazy Daze event.
Looking ahead to next week - Ashley Christensen's new coffee shop, Joule, is expected to open on Wednesday. It will be located in the spot formerly occupied by the Wilmoore Cafe.
