Triangle restaurant news (April 25, 2014)

RALEIGH, N.C. — Clyde Cooper's BBQ reopened Thursday at its new location at 327 S. Wilmington St. in downtown Raleigh. It's just around the corner from their old location. 

Another restaurant that is on the move: Durham's Blue Note Grill is moving from Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard to a two-bay building near the old Durham Athletic Park. The Triangle Business Journal and Durham Herald Sun report that it will be located in a two-bay building at 709 and 711 Washington St. The venue will be remodeled into a restaurant with a live music space and outdoor patio. 

A new restaurant in Cary! Himalayan Nepali has opened on East Chatham Street. The News and Observer reports that they specialize in food from the highest mountainous region of Nepal. Can't wait to check out their food! They are open for lunch and dinner. 

I'm keeping my eye on a new restaurant in Knightdale. Latitudes will be located on Knightdale Boulevard near the water tower. No word on when they plan to open but looks like soon! They will serve "contemporary twists on old world dishes that span the globe," according to their website. 

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is celebrating the grand opening of its Garner location May 3-9 with free 8 oz. cups of yogurt from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. There will also be giveaways and family-friendly activities. This self-serve frozen yogurt shop is in Garner Towne Square.

New Raleigh reports that SchoolKids Records is now serving beer on tap.

Congrats to North Hills, which opens its new Midtown Park Amphitheater this weekend! There will be live music, fun for the kids and a fashion show!
