RALEIGH, N.C. — Gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup restaurant Tom + Chee will be opens its doors today at 370 E. Main St. in Carrboro.The restaurant specializes in more than 20 types of grilled cheese and three versions of tomato soup. Their menu also includes salad and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Of course, you can get your sandwich on a donut if you want too. Speaking of donuts, you have to try their grilled cheese donuts! I am a fan of the S'mores one! Their sandwiches are good and I loved their beer and cheese soup. The roast beef is really tender and the cheese possibilities are endless!
Wendell is getting a coffee shop. Grounds Cafe opens on Saturday, May 16, inside the new Wendell Falls development. The cafe will serve gourmet coffee, craft beer, sandwiches, salad and a build your own grilled cheese bar. It will also sell local products and fashion accessories.
Yesteryears Brewery is opening this weekend in Carrboro, according to the brewery's Facebook page.
Pharmacy Bottle and Beverage in Cary is holding its grand opening on Saturday, May 26, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be can specials and free pizza from Patrick Jane's.
Nothing Bundt Cakes is holding its grand opening in Park West Village shopping area in Morrisville, according to the restaurant's website. The official ribbon cutting is Wednesday, May 20 at 10 a.m. On Saturday, the first 50 guests with purchase will win one bundtlet per month for a year! Doors open at 10 a.m. From noon to 2 p.m., there will be a family fun event with balloons, face painting and cake samples.

BrewMoo Cafe is opening in the old Straw Valley Cafe space at 5420 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. in Durham. The restaurant will serve hot and cold coffee drinks made with fresh dairy products and handmade mix-ins, according to the Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Fresh Levant Bistro, a gluten free/non-GMO Mediterranean restaurant, is planning to open in Lafayette Village in north Raleigh. You can check them out on Saturday during Health and Beauty Day at the village from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
City Barbecue will open its second Triangle area location next month, Triangle Food Guy reports. It will be located in the White Oak Crossing shopping center near the new Cabela's.
The IHOP restaurant on Hillsborough Street will be moving to a new location just over a mile away. Triangle Business Journal reports that the restaurant will be moving into the new the new Stanhope student housing complex at 3001 Hillsborough St. The building will open this summer and IHOP is expected to open its doors next spring.
