Raleigh, N.C. — ICYMI: Pho Nomenal Dumplings is on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race Season 6. SPOILER ALERT! They are in the final three! Pho Nomenam is moving onto Tulsa in next week’s episode. The exciting part of this week’s episode was Pho Nomenal Dumplings’ wins. First, they took on iconic Amarillo’s "The Big Texan Steak Ranch" challenge, which meant eating an entire 72 oz. steak. Traditionally, one person does this experience, but for the show, all three food truck team members were allowed to work together to eat it.
Pho Nomenal Dumplings finished first. Their second victory came with their kimichi steak taco during the steak recipe challenge, which was judged by Chef Bob Lee of The Big Texan Steak Ranch. Pho Nomenal is joined in the final three by GDBRO (a Santa Ana, Calif. burger food truck) and Waffle Love (a Provo, Utah food truck).

There will be hijinks, celebrity judges, and Pho Nomenal Dumpling will narrate the competition. The event will be $2 with all proceeds going to Stop Hunger Now. Get your tickets now for Meals from the Market, Durham Central’s Park “tasting” food truck rodeo. When people talk to me about food truck rodeos, they always ask me “how do you eat from all of them?” or “there’s so much food I only ate from (a certain number).” This food truck rodeo solves this as a ticketed event where you get smaller portions, which provide opportunities to try from many food trucks. The event takes place the evening of Sunday, Sept. 27 at Durham Central Park.
Also, Downtown Garner has released the food trucks and breweries participating in their annual Trick or Eat food truck rodeo. Scheduled Sunday, Oct. 25, this food truck rodeo will have 14 food trucks and 3 breweries located between Rand Mill and Montague on Main Street in Garner.
