RALEIGH, N.C.Captain Ponchos has announced grand opening date of Aug. 27 for their restaurant. The brick-and-mortar location will be at 708 Market St. in Chapel Hill's Southern Village. In addition to the date, they have also announced they are currently hiring staff.
Baguettaboutit will be featured on the Food Network's new show Carnival Cravings, which premiers this Wednesday night at 10 p.m. The show is hosted by Anthony Anderson, who travels to different carnivals and indulges on unique items. Baguettaboutit’s taping took place at this year’s Got To Be NC Festival, and I heard they also filmed some stuff with La Farm Bakery. Baguettaboutit is known for their signatures sausages inside fresh baked baguettes.
If you missed the food truck rodeos this past weekend, circle these dates on your calendar. Park-It-In-The-Market, Holly Springs’ Farmers Market rodeo, is on Aug. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 6, is the Durham Central Park Rodeo.
One food truck reveal I'm excited about is Boricua Soul. Before it hits the road, they will be setup at Fullsteam Brewery in Durham on Aug. 29 to offer free samples. The cuisine is a Southern meets Caribbean fusion, which I’m hungry just thinking about it.
