20 Triangle events to check out this week

RALEIGH, N.C. — These fun events will help you breeze through the work week - even after Halloween festivities end.

Halloween evening, join Mash & Lauter in Raleigh for a Fantôme Beer Fest featuring five special beers paired with hors d'ouevres. Tickets include five 4 oz. pours and pairings for each. Costumes optional.

The largest Halloween event in the area is in Chapel Hill. If you don't mind the crowds, join thousands of people in the craziest costumes on Franklin St. for Homegrown Halloween.

See Machine Gun Kelly, an American rapper and actor, at The Ritz in Raleigh at 8 p.m.

Visit Motorco Music Hall in Durham for another Halloween party at 8:30 p.m. The Halloween VI Paranormal Party features multiple DJs and a costume contest.

See Brian Culbertson, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, writer and producer who crosses genres between contemporary jazz, R&B and funk, at the Carolina Theatre in Durham at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35.

The giant bunny exhibit at the NC Museum of Art park is only own a few days! Intrude is a free, outdoor exhibition featuring five enormous (23 feet high) illuminated and inflated rabbits.

Don't miss the weekly Open Mic Night at Deep South in downtown Raleigh at 7:30 p.m.

Kick back, relax and sample wines from around the world between 6 and 7 p.m. at the cozy Mandolin in Raleigh for only $5 tonight.

Then, hear dance-worthy music from Snakehips at 8:30 p.m. at Cat's Cradle. Tickets are $17.

A Shopping SPREE!, an annual four-day shopping fundraiser showcasing regional and national exhibitors for shoppers seeking the latest in fashion and home decor trends, unique gifts and holiday merchandise starts today and continues all weekend at the Convention Center in Raleigh. Tickets to shop are $12 at the door.

The Rebirth Brass Band, a true New Orleans institution, will perform at Motorco at 8 p.m.

Meet new people and enjoy a free board game night at Aloft Hotel in Durham at 8 p.m.

It's a show for the entire family tonight at Raleigh Little Theatre. Tickets are $9 for A Charlie Brown Christmas, which makes the classic animated television special comes to life.

See folk-punk musician Charles Latham at The Pinhook in Durham at 8 p.m. Tickets are $7.

If you haven't yet visited the giant bunny exhibit at the NCMA, now's the time to do it! Join the museum for a Trip-Hoppy Hour from 5:30 to 8 p.m. tonight for surprise guests and events, food trucks and beers and wine for purchase. There is no charge to see the exhibit.
