— Jury selection started Wednesday for a man charged with the 2006 beating death of Brenda Fox.

Raleigh police charged Charles Darryl Dickerson with murder after Fox was found in Dickerson's home at 119 S. Pettigrew St. He was arrested three days later in Greenville County, S.C. during a traffic stop.

Investigators said Fox was struck and killed by blunt object. They believe Dickerson knew Fox and that her death was not a random crime.

If convicted, Dickerson could face the death penalty.

I knew of this man for years and was close friends with his sister for a many of years. This was not something he would have done intentionally. He was wrong, and he should pay, and I am one for the death penalty, but knowing how this person is, it could have not been premeditated.

OK...give him a fair trial, then execute him.
