Tree knocks out power near Umstead State Park in Raleigh

Power was out briefly on Thursday morning to some customers on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Power was out briefly on Thursday morning to some customers on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh.

According to officials, a tree fell on a power line near the entrance of William B. Umstead State Park. By about 12:30 p.m., power had been restored to nearly all but 500 customers.
