A CSX train caught fire and came to a stop late Friday morning near downtown Wake Forest, officials said.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A CSX train caught fire and came to a stop late Friday morning near downtown Wake Forest, officials said.

The train was blocking access to the Public Works Operation Center, at 234 Friendship Chapel Road. It is not expected to move for several hours, authorities said.

No other information about the cause of the fire has been released.
