Man Faces DWI, Other Charges for Six Forks Road Crash

A Raleigh man is charged with DWI, underage consumption of alcohol and hit and run for the accident that closed part of Six Forks Road in North Raleigh Monday morning.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is charged with DWI, underage consumption of alcohol and hit and run for the accident that closed part of Six Forks Road in North Raleigh Monday morning.

Jose Guevara Erasmo, 19, of 7011 Sandy Forks Road, was traveling southbound on South Forks when he swerved across Shelley Road, hitting a utility pole and knocking out power to the intersection for about six hours.

Erasmo ran from his vehicle after the crash, but was located and arrested in a nearby parking lot.

Six Forks Road was reopened to traffic just after noon.
