Raleigh, N.C. — The ongoing rehabilitation project on Interstate 40 will close two eastbound lanes of of Interstate 440 Beltline between South Saunders Street and the Person/Hammond streets exits this weekend.
The entrance ramp from Hammond Road also will be off limits.
The lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, the state Department of Transportation said.
DOT officials said drivers who need to get on I-40 east should use the Saunders Street interchange.
The construction work is part of a project to repave nearly 13 miles of damaged concrete. A completion date is scheduled for August.
