Public Gets View of Plans for I-540 Toll Road
RALEIGH, N.C. — Time is running out to voice your opinion on a proposed toll road on Interstate 540.
State officials said the only way to pay to extend I-540 from I-40 to Highway 55 is to charge drivers a $2 toll.

Officials also said the 18-mile extension of I-540 will cost $800 million.

Those interested have until Monday to provide input on the plan to the North Carolina Turnpike Authority.
