RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the Interstate 440 Beltline at the Wade Avenue interchange beginning Monday, Feb. 21 through Thursday, Feb. 24.
The closure will be in place nightly from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. It is necessary for construction on the pedestrian bridge as part of the Reedy Creek Greenway project.
Motorists traveling on the Outer Beltline will use the following signed detour route:
Motorists traveling on the Inner Beltline will use the following signed detour route:
Motorists traveling eastbound on Wade Avenue from I-40 wishing to take the I-440 Inner Beltline will use the following signed detour:
The on-ramp to the I-440 Inner Beltline from Hillsborough Street will be closed during construction hours. The closure will not impact traffic leaving the N.C. State basketball game being held on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
